Discovered I had enough screenies for an Eighties update! Whoo hoo! This is good, since I have had no time to play Sims in forever. Tragically, work and life have been In The Way.

Now, everyone remembers the deal here: it's an I'm Surrounded By Idiots (ISBI) Challenge, featuring our founder, Jenny Eighties. She married Luiz, a gorgeous imbecile, and they proceeded to have twins, the charming and dim-witted Jack and Diane. And oh yes, the naming theme for this legacy is the wonderful and often cheesy music of the 1980's. And other 80's stuff, because I am an Old. Anyway, let's get started!

We start with Jenny outside in her PJs, picking up the trash can, YET AGAIN. Why? Because she's the only one who can. Who cares if she's pregnant! I have no idea who keeps knocking it over, unless it's Diane. (It's probably Diane.)

Anyway, that's all for now. Hope you enjoyed it, and here's hoping I can actually get some time to play again soon. If only I didn't require sleep!

Finally some free time to do an update again! I warn everyone, this chapter will have my terrible tiny screenshots from when I was finally able to play again after reinstalling my game- I had forgotten to reset my screenshot size, so they look just awful. Apologies in advance.

We start with Jack, playing in the tub, little suspecting that in mere minutes of game time, he will be captured for all time in a cheap, poor resolution fashion to be displayed on the internet!

That's all for this update! Next time: bigger screenshots, the birth of the newest addition to the Eighties clan, and more wacky ISBI hijinks! Thanks for reading!

My D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE error issue with my Sims 2 game is fixed! I did three things: turned off my Avira antivirus before I play (since I am not online when I play and I have another firewall/antivirus on all the time anyway), did the DEP trick described on GoS (but make sure to set it back to normal settings when you're not playing if you try it- otherwise your printer won't print, like mine before I put the DEP settings back to normal) and turned off edge scrolling in game. Wella! Everything was able to work for hours and hours. So, here's an update, finally, after a stupid long time.

In case you forgot the founder of this ISBI, it's Jenny Eighties. She's married to Luiz Eighties (formerly Campbell), who is gorgeous, but stupid. This is pretty much what they like to do all the time, since for some inexplicable reason they've gone from two bolts to three.

That's all for now. The next update will tragically contain the horrible screenshots I took immediately after my reinstall of the game, before I remembered to reset my screenshot parameters. Thanks for reading! I'm so glad I can play and update again!

So, my computer is rebuilt. Everything works beautifully, especially World of Warcraft: Cataclysm, which is possible to play for HOURS with no issues. (Multiple graphics issues were what were messing with my computer before. It also runs cooler than ever- in fact, cool air blows out of the front of the case now.) I'm able to play the Sims2 again, though last night it threw me a "D3DERR_NOTAVAILABLE" error and crashed when the nanny showed up (and after playing for about three hours). Supposedly, this means my DirectX needs fixing, so I downloaded the latest one for my system and reinstalled it. I guess I'll find out later if it fixes the problem. (Weirdest of all, that an old program like The Sims 2 should throw this error, but Cataclysm, which I can run easily on very high graphics settings for six hours straight has no issues- I think it's a Sims 2 specific issue.)

ANYWAY. What this means is I have a small Eighties ISBI update, since I wanted to play a family that didn't require as much thinking. When we left off last time, Jenny Eighties met and married Luiz Campbell and had a set of twins named Jack and Diane. She's working on her LTW of becoming a celebrity chef, which means she has to work menial jobs in restaurants.

We start with Jenny making breakfast for the rest of the family before she heads off to work. She's actually not a terrible mother.

And that's all for part three- sorry for the awkward ending. Tune in next time to see if Luiz continues to ignore his kids, if his kids manage to off themselves by their own stupidity, and if Jenny can hold it all together!

Last time, Jenny Eighties moved into a house in upwardly mobile Belladonna Cove, met Luiz Campbell, married him, and then proceeded to get pregnant. We left off with Jenny going into labor in the World's Tiniest Bathroom.

My screen capping skills were severely limited by the World's Tiniest Bathroom, but trust me when I tell you she had twins, a boy with Jenny's blue eyes and a girl (shown here) with Luiz's green eyes. The kids are named Jack and Diane, after John Cougar Mellencamp's 1982 hit of the same name. I'm so, so sorry if this gets stuck in anyone's head.

And that's all for this update! Here's hoping the twins can get to their teen years with a little less neglect, now that they're a bit more mobile and sentient. Thanks for reading, and comments are love. ^_^

I've mentioned that I started an I'm Surrounded By Idiots! legacy challenge, along with my other Sims things. What can I say, I like to have options when I play. ^_^ Anyway, my theme for this legacy challenge is 80's music, since I am old and love music from that time period. Names will always have a corresponding video link to the appropriate song (unless it's not online...). I make no guarantee of the quality of said songs; they're just picked because they would make good names!

Let's meet our founder, shall we?

This is Jenny Eighties. Her name comes from the song "867-5309/Jenny" from cheeseball one-hit wonder Tommy Tutone.

Tune in next time to see the arrival of generation 2! And as always, thanks for reading.
