doronjosimaWow, guess all that picture uploading I did doesn't help a whit if I never bother to post another update, does it? Good job, me! To be fair, work has been a bear lately, and I'm getting ready to go to A-Kon, the big local anime convention at the end of this month. So, busy, busy times. But WHO CARES, right? Does that get you Goreys? It DOES NOT. So, here they come!
When we last left off, Embley was frozen in the middle of labor. Thank goodness it didn't actually take her a month to give birth.
It's a baby boy! The Big Book of Edward Gorey Baby Names (aka, my Sims notebook) is consulted, and he is given the name Dawbis! He has Breanna's coloring.
To my absolute horror, Embley handed Dawbis off to Epergne immediately. Dear god, twins again.
Boy #2 has Embley's coloring and is christened Snedleigh.
All that baby-birthin' gets Hobart hot and flustered. Or, you know, this just could be a normal day for Epergne and ol' Hobs.
Friedrich is a fantastic grandpa, and dotes on the babies.
Embley also is devoted to the babies. She loves them so much she wants to eat them up!
I finally bother to check Hobart's inventory, and discover he brought a giant TV when he moved in.
Embley: TV rots your mind... who left this here?
Don't worry, Emb, it's getting sold. You people have extra mouths to feed now.
Epergne and Hobart are in their grunders an awful lot, mostly because they do it all the time.
This doesn't stop her from trying to take the direct approach with male visitors.
Epergne: STICK IT IN!
Visitor (Guy?): LOLWUT?!
As usual, Hobart corrals her in some other romantic activity, quashing her Romance Sim tendencies with smothery love.
Yeah, and that's not awkward at all.
Visitor (Guy?): I guess I'll see y'all later, okay? Okay, guys?
Epergne & Hobart: *IGNORE*
This meal is awkward, I think, because Hobart can't stop thinking about his girlfriend's hot lesbian sister. He's such a frat boy, despite his love for pirate costumes.
Hobart: Dude, concentrate on the food, c'mon, dude....
I have no idea why I took this shot of Friedrich, except I guess because he looks a little vague? Poor guy is getting on in years.
Naenae: When did we get so OLD?!
The twins are uninteresting infants, despite emitting powerful stink.
Hobart gets sick. Well, duh, you big doof, if you lie on the cold, dew covered grass in your skivvies half the night, you are bound to catch the plague.
Embley continues to be adorable, and continues to excel at her science career.
Random lightning fire! Which the rain extinguished.
Finally, birthday time for the twins. Thank goodness, because even though they were about as interesting as potatoes as infants, everyone in the freaking house was obsessed with them.

Now, that's what you call "bubble timing"... because I am a pro. (Ow, I can't believe I made a bad WoW Athene reference... this is what happens when I write the commentary months after taking the pictures...)
Dawbis before, drowning in hair.
Dawbis after, much cuter. I find him quite darling.
Snedleigh before. Wow, the nerdy name really fits him.
Snedleigh after. Still a little awkward. There's so few good hairs for boy toddlers, I abuse those hats.
These two are still the picture of cute.
The upside of having so many adults in the house is that there's no shortage of toddler trainers!
And having Grandpa there means there's always someone to read them a story.
Oooh, Embley, coming home in a limo? Have I mentioned how much she rocks?
Yeah, someone got promoted! Mad Scientist in the hizzouse!
Friedrich, being retired, spends most of his time tending to his grandsons.
When he's not busy fixing things around the house.
Naenae is still working on her LTW, so she works out obsessively.
Dawbis, in a rare quiet moment.
Snedleigh, also asleep.
And we'll end on a shot of Embley in her new Mad Scientist togs. She's so pleased, despite it not being her LTW.
