[livejournal.com profile] daisywenham did this meme, and I figured I'd check it out. Google your birthdate, and find out what the number 1 song was for that date. On January 25, 1971 the #1 song was Tony Orlando and Dawn's "Knock Three Times". (Yes, I'm *old*.) I went to YouTube to find the video and wonder of wonders, the first one that came up was a Sims 2 machinima! How lucky is that? It's even a really good machinima! So here it is:

And the original band, to compare!

But that's a HILARIOUS song! I loved it when I was a kid. I remember my brother and I used to sing it (and "The Mighty Quinn") when we were kids. Apparently, we liked to annoy everyone around us.

Damn! 1983/2/17 was during a period where the #1 song was something I've never heard of. Why couldn't it have been a song I know and love, like "Down Under", "Flashdance", or "Sweet Dreams"? :|

But you got "Africa" by Toto! Man, that song was everywhere. ^_^ I still like the chorus okay, though I never was a Toto fan. (Too easy-listening...)
