X-Post: Garden of Shadows is Down...

I thought I'd do my part to spread the word to anyone who might be wondering about Garden of Shadows, and why it's not working. It seems TSR made a legal complaint to GoS's web host about them redistributing their supposedly "copyrighted content." There are more details here on nymphynymms journal. This upsets me. I love GoS (though my comments are limited to "thanks for the hard work!" usually, I'm shy). TSR are not completely without sin here and ought not to be casting stones, since some of their "artists" have been known to steal meshes and such from free CC creators. It's hypocritical. Also, I don't believe in charging real-world money for CC; it's one of the big reasons I don't play Sims3. The freedom of creativity and the sense of sharing and community is what attracted me to the Sims2 fandom in the first place.

Anyway, here's hoping GoS will be up and running again very soon! It's my favorite place to keep up to date on new stuff. Liberté, égalité, fraternité! XD
