doronjosimaI've mentioned that I started an I'm Surrounded By Idiots! legacy challenge, along with my other Sims things. What can I say, I like to have options when I play. ^_^ Anyway, my theme for this legacy challenge is 80's music, since I am old and love music from that time period. Names will always have a corresponding video link to the appropriate song (unless it's not online...). I make no guarantee of the quality of said songs; they're just picked because they would make good names!
Let's meet our founder, shall we?
This is Jenny Eighties. Her name comes from the song "867-5309/Jenny" from cheeseball one-hit wonder Tommy Tutone.
Jenny is a Romance/Family Sim with the lifetime want to become a celebrity chef. She's a Gemini who loves unemployed, creative people, but she dislikes black hair. Her stats are:
Neat: 4
Outgoing: 7
Active: 7
Playful: 4
Nice: 3
We're also going to pretend she inherited her house in Belladonna Cove. Poor girl is already the founder of an ISBI legacy, she needs all the help she can get!
Now, on to the pictures!
Jenny (purposely) looks a little like Debbie Harry of Blondie fame. She also is wearing typical 80's style makeup, which is to say it's rather caked on. Makeup was an all or nothing approach in the 80's!
Jenny immediately starts studying cooking as soon as she gets into the house. She's got that lifetime want to achieve, and soon she'll be surrounded by idiots and won't have time to do such things. Well, not without fires starting or the toilets all being flooded.
She does take a break to go outside and meet the welcome wagon. This charming girl with the insanely complicated hair is Petunia Blake. She's adorable! It's too bad Jenny rolled straight on the random gender preference roll.
Jenny makes sandwiches for everyone to enjoy. Such good manners!
Or maybe she just made them for herself.... that works too. It doesn't bode well for the future brains of the next generation that none of the welcome wagon were able to negotiate the stairs to the front door.
After lunch, Jenny and Petunia toss the football around. Jenny's One True Hobby is sports.
A stray dog wanders into the middle of their game, which breaks that up.
What's this? An elderly gentleman has taken a shine to Jenny! Well, since Petunia was the only person who stuck around from the welcome wagon, beggars can't be choosers.
Jenny plays ball with the gentleman, whose name is David Morris.
Jenny is rather terrifying when she is playing catch. Just a little!
What's this? The entire welcome wagon didn't wander off! This guy was hiding in the (very girly) bathroom! This is Luiz Campbell, and he has definite possibilities!
Luiz: Okay, old man, here's how it's going to go down- this is an ISBI legacy, and that means anyone who marries into it will never have to lift a finger or be responsible for ANYTHING. I'm young and hot and you're old and busted, and I will kick your ass if you try to move in on this chick. She's mine!
David: Eh, what's that? I can't hear you over that loud artwork, sonny.
Jenny serves some soup to her guests. Luiz plays it cool by sitting on the opposite end of the table from her.
It's a pleasant meal, everyone chats in a friendly manner.
Luiz follows Jenny into the kitchen.
Luiz: You are one smokin' fox! Your boobs are totally bangin', and you seem pretty smart for a chick!
Jenny: Uh... thanks, I think? Watch those hands, buddy.
Like many young women, Jenny is totally taken in by a guy who is an attractive jerk. The flirting commences.
Annnnd thanks to ACR, the flirting moves along at an incredibly speedy clip. Yes, Jenny's bedroom is eye-searingly pink. Hello, 80's!
I like that Luiz leaves his bandana on even when he's in his drawers.
Ah, first makeouts for them both, how charming.
And we have achieved woohoo. I was half hoping Risky Woohoo would kick in and Jenny would get knocked up right away, just because it would have been funny.
Jenny is thrilled that she's not pregnant yet!
Jenny: Yes! I can keep working on my career!
She toddles off to work at the gas station, since there were no jobs in a culinary field yet. Also, please to be ignoring the walls down in the background. ^_^;
The minute she gets home from work, she heads straight for the bedroom with Luiz, who's just been hanging around the house.
Ah younglove lust! Hormones, I'm telling you.
Regardless of his jerkitude, he definitely makes Jenny happy. I guess he's her pick for baby-makin'.
Well, that explains it, he's creative. He's already decent at playing the piano.
Jenny really likes him a lot! Well, if that's what she wants...
She asks him to move in! He gleefully accepts, and brings in $19,000! I guess he's some kind of trust fund kid...
That evening before work, Jenny starts to feel nauseous! Here comes generation 2!
After work, she takes a long bubble bath, overcome with malaise and ennui.
Jenny: I guess I can continue working on my career after the baby comes, right...?
Petunia and David call frequently for Jenny. It's good that she has friends!
And she and Luiz are practically inseparable. It's actually very cute.
Of course, they are having a baby and living together, but they weren't even best friends yet. Until now! They're not even in love yet! Oh you crazy modern kids!
Jenny pops into the second trimester, and we learn that her skirt does not have a pregnancy morph mesh. That looks quite painful!
Her pajamas do! Personally, I would not cook something that could spatter in PJs that small, but that's just me...
A nice dinner at home- she and Luiz are still getting to know each other.
As evidenced by this picture- he won't go sleep in the bed with Jenny on his own yet. Oh, he'll woohoo her there till the cows come home, but SLEEP next to the mother of his child? Are you CRAZY?!
Jenny's bedroom is particularly day-glo first thing in the morning.
I send her to make a pickle and jam sandwich, because I think it is amusing. She does so without complaint!
It turns out Luiz has a job! He's in the journalism career. He's also apparently a Knowledge Sim, which is a surprise. He spends most of every day just playing the piano.
Jenny stays home to eat her nasty sandwiches. And be pregnant. Eh, it's a legacy founder's lot in life.
One of the upstairs bedrooms gets decorated as a nursery, to prepare for the impending baby.
Jenny pops into the third trimester, and into other pajamas at the same time. Impressive!
She changes into an outfit that will accommodate her expanding midsection. And she still does most of the cooking, which is not a bad thing. (No fires yet! Yay!)
I re-check the ISBI rules and discover that I'm allowed to makeover the uncontrollable sims. Luiz gets a much nicer outfit. Strangely, he looked best with his original hair, so I let him keep it.
They have long conversations every time they have a meal together. They really are very good friends, as well as romantically involved.
Jenny's decided her baby can't be illegitimate, so she proposes to Luiz.
He accepts her engagement ring!
Getting engaged is what finally gets them to fall in love! How romantic! And oddly Victorian!
Even though Luiz accepted Jenny's proposal, he wasn't that keen on the idea of being engaged. Jenny looks a little shell-shocked herself.
Jenny: Ohhhh my god, what have I done? I know I love this guy, but things are moving so fast...
I figure I'd better get them hitched before they decide they really don't want to, so they have a quickie ring exchange in the living room.
Ha, success! Now they're stuck together. Well, it's for the best, really.

Luiz still looks stunned by the events of the day. Falling in love, getting engaged, and then getting married in the same day? Yeah, that's a lot to digest.
Luiz plays piano so much, one of the hobby people shows up. Luiz refuses to look at her, and only thinks of his wife.
He still won't sleep in the same bed as his wife though. What the hell?
Luiz actually wasn't playing the piano for once (he will literally play it all day long), so Jenny got a go at it.
Luiz autonomously cleaned the bathroom. That was unexpected!
He then went into the kitchen and started cooking dinner! Will wonders never cease?
Well, he did totally burn the dinner. That's unfortunate.
But wonder of wonders, when he got tired, he went and slept IN THE BED! It's a miracle! I guess he's decided since he and Jenny are married now and about to have a baby, he can deign to share the bed.
Jenny then completely annoys me by choosing the SMALLEST BATHROOM IN THE HOUSE to start labor in! Dammit, Jenny!
We'll end this chapter with Jenny in labor! Will she have one baby or more? Will it be a girl or a boy? It's a surprise!
