The Rosales Family Part 32

doronjosimaIt's a truly never-ending saga of non-heirs! Jeezum crow, I am never letting anyone have six kids again, seriously. It's wreaking havoc on my OCD need to see them all have kids. Oh yeah, and my OCD need to keep them all around the same age. What is WRONG with me?!
Anyway, we start this time with Anthony & Rosemarie Varma's little family.
That would be baby Rob, attempting to flood the downstairs with toilet water. I am grateful they don't have a maid, because she'd hate the toddler.
Of course, the nanny is of the Useless variety, and sits watching her stories while Rob is ignored upstairs.
Oh, but she'll play with Laura. What the hell, lady?! And that's Rob's nursery, woman!
Rosemarie has to come home from work and dive right into childcare before she can even change out of her work dress. Sometimes, the Sims is too much like real life.
She even has to change Laura. Why on earth are we paying that nanny?!
Fortunately, she has like 1072 neat points, so when I told her to go clean up the toilet water, she was THRILLED. Seriously, she pumped her fists and everything.
Anthony continues to fail as a Romance Sim and dotes on his children, instead of seeing them as millstones around his lady-killing neck.
Rob is cruising for bruising. Poor Rosemarie can barely keep up with this Sisyphean task.
The kittens grow up into cats! In the back, the fluffy brown tabby is Ricky, son of Buddy and Lucille. Front left is Desilu, son of Bandito and Lucille, grey tabby with a white mask. Front right is Arnaz, son of Buddy and Lucille, grey with a dark mask just like mama cat. No, I don't expect anyone to be able to keep track of them all. I had to write it all down.
The only girl kitten, Luci Jr., daughter of Indy and Lucille. (Indy and Bandito are based on my real life cats...)
Anthony taught Rob to talk. Maybe now he can explain his toilet obsession.
Rosemarie tends to ignore her children in favor of training the multitudes of cats for their careers.
Anthony already is perma-platinum, so he makes the Smart Milk and trains the babies. Seems a fair division of labor.
Rob learns to walk!

And voila, it's Laura's birthday!
I am not one to pick on my Sims for being unattractive, but Laura is PLAIN. Severely, severely plain.
It's Rob's birthday as well, and oddly, I am able to use the cake twice. Score!

Rob: WHOA I'M AWESOME!
He's kinda cute after a haircut. I hate those pajamas with a passion though. Fortunately, they aren't kids for very long, so it's no biggie.
Guess who inherited Mom's neat points? Yes, the kid who is putting AN ENTIRE CAKE into the dishwasher. Man, I hope that thing is a Hobart.
Rosemarie is promoted, and has the best work uniform EVAR.
Anthony's current job (some kind of art thing) means he stays home with the kids a lot. Thus, Laura is toilet trained!
NOOOOOO! I hate when the Reaper comes for pets. Buddy was apparently Really Old, which is just not fair.
Anthony loses his mind with grief.
Death throws a catnip mouse and Buddy is no longer with us.
Everyone is sad. Even though Buddy was kind of lazy and never learned anything.
He gets placed in the snowy graveyard in the backyard. R.I.P. Buddy. You were a good, if useless, cat.
After the death, Anthony gets all pissy, and gives the nanny some shit about being useless.
Nanny does not PLAY that shit.
Anthony is really a delicate flower. Don't dish it out if you can't take it, dude!

Rosemarie gets promoted again! I can hardly wait to see her next hilarious work outfit. (She's in the Adventure career track...)
She loves her cats, seriously. Though, she didn't seem to care about Buddy, as he died while she was at work. Or maybe she didn't care because he could never get a job...
Rob greets his dad as soon as he gets home from work.
Rosemarie unfortunately needs body points for her job, so she works out.
She ends up getting fairly fit, which saddens me. I liked her generous curves.
Initiate Varma Flirtation Subroutine #1.
That's Luci Jr. being bad and sleeping on Rob's bed.
Ah, a ridiculous safari hat and a bout of mysterious hair-straightening and Rosemarie is ready for her promotion.
Rob likes to sleep.
He also is interested in talking about bugs. At the dinner table no less.
Finally time for Laura to become a child! Anthony doesn't bother to get dressed for the occasion.
She continues in her rather severe looks. That hair isn't working for her, in my opinion.
She gets a makeover that I think goes along with her severe looks. She's a very buttoned-down kid, seriously.
The traditional redecoration of the room for the new age bracket. She liked it a lot.
This picture shows that I finally got Free Time. Since Laura seemed so serious, I decided she should start learning the violin. She can be an orchestra snob.
Because of his interest in bugs and his kind of nerdy demeanor, I decide Rob needs an ant farm.
And Rosemarie gets to test out the potter's wheel. Soon I will have to start writing down everyone's One True Hobby with the rest of their stats.
And that's all for this mini-update! I haven't had a lot of time to play lately, but I am just itching to do so. And soon, soon all the Rosales-Varma siblings will have their babies grown into children so I can return to the main house and the actual heirs, Rosales and Bindi! Hooray! I also can't wait to play the Gorey Legacy to see how they deal with Free Time.

I tell you now though- this game is addictive and evil. Every time I decide to play it for an hour or two, I will look at the clock and realize it is four in the morning. It's the devil!
