Days 11-13- Even More Catching Up

doronjosimaI'm really a failure at daily updates. And yet, I used to update my personal LJ every single day! Of course, that was when I was 100% self-employed, something which hasn't been true for years now.

Day 11 - A song from your favorite band
"Khanada" by Duran Duran. It's the B-side of the "Careless Memories" EP, and has always been one of my favorite D2 songs. And yes, no shame at all that Duran Duran is my favorite band. Course, they are tied with Blondie, Adam and the Ants, and T.Rex. When I was an impressionable teenager, I was convinced I would have a baby girl with John Taylor or Nick Rhodes someday, and I would name her Khanada. Even though that would have made me a CRAZY PERSON. XD I can only imagine the horror on those guys faces if I'd gotten to meet them back then and tell them this insane idea. Oh, teenagers!
Day 12 - A song from a band you hate
"My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas. I actually like hip hop and R&B, but I honestly believe the music of the Black Eyed Peas celebrates complete and utter stupidity. The lyrics are *terrible*. There's so much better hip hop/dance/R&B out there. And Fergie's voice makes me want to stab myself in the ear with a knitting needle. Especially when she says "check it out!". I can't even like the BEP ironically.
Day 13 - A song that is a guilty pleasure
"Dragostea Din Tei" by O-Zone. This was so hard to choose, since I have a weakness for incredibly cheesy pop/dance music (Britney, Xtina, anything from the Eurovision Song Contest, etc.). I blame growing up when disco was huge. But hands down, people are always surprised when this comes up on my iTunes, because hello, supposed to be punk rock. But I can't help it, I genuinely love this stupid thing.
